Tips for Makeup Need to Make Sense

We’ve all been there. The makeup artist is giving you makeup tips that totally contradict your personality just to make a sale on a featured product. Or you tell the makeup artist that the suit you are wearing to the interview is charcoal gray and she tells you to wear a bright red eyeshadow. Sometimes the tips for makeup are meant to steer you to a sale, but sometimes they are just plain ignorance on the part of the salesperson. If you are not very experienced with makeup in terms of application, color schemes, and removal, it is going to be easy for a salesperson to convince you to buy their product. Don’t get me wrong, not all makeup artists or salespeople are out to rip you off. In their defense, they are trying to make a living just like you are and their job performance is based upon sales, sales, sales, and more sales.

But if you can find someone who is not only a good makeup artist, but also is a great resource in terms of giving you tips for makeup that you can carry with you for the short term and the long term, then you have hit a small goldmine. There is nothing like finding someone in any field, whether it be makeup, jewelry, hair, or clothing who can help you look great, save some money, and become knowledgeable all at the same time. These are the people who have a ton of clients because they get business via word of mouth. The salespeople who try and make a few bucks in the short run may last a little while, but in the long run, the salespeople who climb the ladder of success are those who provide value to the client. So keep your eyes out for the good ones and the bad ones. Finding one and avoiding the other is crucial to your makeup success.
