The cosmetics industry is a booming worldwide industry. The term cosmetics stems from the Latin word meaning to arrange (as in arranging one’s face). Cosmetics can range from inexpensive, “over-the-counter” varieties (such as Maybelline, CoverGirl, and Revlon) to person to person sales brands (such as Avon and Mary Kay) to top of the line distributors (such as Adrien Arpel, Elizabeth Arden, MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, and Chanel). The best brand of cosmetics to use depends on a lot of factors. Answers will also vary depending on who you ask. There are many different products included under the label of cosmetics, including makeup, perfumes, skin creams, oils, and, historically, some spices. Additionally, makeup products can come in liquid, solid, pencil, powder, cream, and other forms.

The use of cosmetics has been around for thousands of years; some believe it to be as many as 12000 years or so. This would suggest that makeup has been a part of women’s (and historically, men’s and children’s as well) beauty regimen during nearly every era known to man and has definitely been a part of every civilization.

Cosmetics have made their way into the public eye of controversy over the years. Where cosmetics were once all natural and used only on humans, cosmetics now have animals or animal products in their ingredients (in part) and oftentimes these beauty products are tested on them as well. Some believe that animal testing is necessary in order to minimize any would be harm to humans, while others believe that it is inhumane and not worth the risks testing poses to the animals.

Beauty products have benefits in that they can help women feel more confident and put-together. But they can also have drawbacks when some women abuse them and become obsessed with their looks and end up spending hours on end getting “ready”. For better or worse, cosmetics and beauty products are a part of society, likely until the end of time.

A spray tanning machine is a piece of equipment that is used to deliver spray tan solution to people who want a healthier way of getting a tan. These machines can be quite expensive, and whilst you can get home use versions, you are far better visiting a salon with the latest equipment.

Your spray tanning experience begins at home where you make sure that you exfoliate your skin to remove any dead skin cells. This will help make sure that your spray tan is as good as possible, and will last longer. When you visit the salon, you will be given specific instructions for their machine. Remember all machines vary slightly, so if you go to a different beauty salon or they get new machines make sure that you listen to the instructions carefully. You will usually strip outside of the machine, and then step inside, close your eyes and wait for the beeps.

Some machines have incorporated drying mechanisms so that once the product is applied you will dry off inside the machine. Again, as all of these piece of equipment vary, make sure that you listen carefully to the instructions for the particular salon that you are visiting.

Once your treatment is over, and you have put your clothes back on you will probably want to head straight home for a shower. Whilst these products are very effective, they can smell quite a bit. Make sure that you wait the prescribed time before you shower to give the spray tan product ample chance to soak in to your skin and do it’s work.

Spray tanning is covered in more detail at the excellent website, spray tan tips. Here you can find out lots more information about tanning and the various products and methods that there are out there.

There are so many great products out there but I’d like to share with you which ones are my beauty product favorites!

1.  Bare Escentuals Mineral Foundation:  This has been my favorite foundation since the moment I tried it.  So easy to apply (even for people like me who aren’t exactly skilled in the makeup application department).

Mineral Foundation

If you’re new to mineral makeup I would suggest purchasing this starter package.  Its way cheaper to buy this, it comes with the foundation brush and concealer brush which alone would cost $48.  This starter package comes with two different foundation colors, a bronzer, finishing mineral powder, primer and the two brushes as well as an instructional dvd.

Starter Kit

2.  Bare Escentuals Eye Shadows: Love, Love, Love these eye shadows!  If you can purchase the colors individually or in a package.  If you buy the packages they come with instructions on how to create the look on the box.

Rocker Eye

Foiled Eye

Great Beauty Products that are fun and eay to use!!
